## The bridal season, sorted

- **The bride, her mother, four cousins and a trial**: One booking holds every function as its own session (trial, mehendi, wedding, reception) with date, call time and venue. Family and party faces are lines with a quantity, so 4 faces × ₹4,000 is one line, not four.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Brightdesk free for makeup artists?

Yes. The free plan has unlimited bookings and invoices, payment and expense tracking, the availability calendar and your profile page, with no time limit. Pro adds contracts with e-signature, review requests, invoice designs, reminders and analytics for ₹99/month or ₹990/year. New accounts get a 28-day Pro trial without a card.

### How do I add family and party makeup to a bridal booking?

Add each function as a session of the booking, then add services to it with a quantity: for example "Family party makeup × 4" at your per-face price. The invoice shows each line and the total.

### Can I add a trial to the booking?

Yes. Add the trial as its own session with its date and price, or at no charge if you include it in the bridal package. It shows in your calendar like any other session.

### Should a makeup artist charge GST?

Only once you are GST-registered, which is required when your turnover crosses ₹20 lakh a year in most states (₹10 lakh in special category states). Makeup and beauty services are taxed at 18% under SAC 999721. Brightdesk adds CGST + SGST or IGST depending on where your client is.

### Does Brightdesk work for hair stylists and saree draping too?

Yes. Add hairstyling, draping, nail or lash services to your service list with their own prices. Hair stylists can also choose hair stylist as their business type when they sign up.

### Can brides find me through Brightdesk?

Your free profile page at yourname.brightdesk.app has your looks, packages, reviews and an enquiry form, and search engines can index it. Most artists share it from their Instagram bio and WhatsApp.

### Is there an app for my phone?

Yes. Brightdesk is made for the phone: open it in your browser and add it to your home screen, and it opens like an app.
