Your dashboard shows how your business is doing at a glance: this month's revenue, payments still pending, upcoming events and your availability calendar. In this tutorial you'll learn what each part does, how to move around on phone and desktop, and how to install Brightdesk on your home screen so it opens like a regular app.

The dashboard at a glance
- Stats cards: Revenue this month, Pending payments, Expenses and Net Profit, compared with last month.
- Quick Actions: one-tap shortcuts to Book, Invoices, Inquiries, Payments, Reviews, Clients, Tasks and Analytics.
- Availability calendar: your bookings and blocked dates by month. Tap a date to see its details or add a booking. See Manage bookings and your availability calendar.
- Upcoming Schedule: today's, tomorrow's and the next events.
- Pending Payments: clients who still owe you money. When everyone has paid, it shows All Caught Up!
You'll also see Recent Payments, a Tasks widget, and the Finish setting up card until your profile is complete.
Getting around on your phone
The bar at the bottom of the screen has:
- Dashboard: your home screen
- Studio: Bookings, Inquiries and Reviews in tabs
- ＋ (New): create a New Booking (Quick or Full), New Invoice or New Expense
- Finance: Payments, Invoices and Expenses in tabs
- Settings: business profile, templates, public profile and more
Getting around on desktop
On a laptop the menu sits on the left: Dashboard, Bookings, Invoices, Payments, Expenses, Tasks, Analytics, Clients, Reviews, Inquiries, Settings and Help Center.
Install Brightdesk on your phone
Brightdesk is a web app you can install. It doesn't need the Play Store or App Store, it takes almost no storage, and it updates itself.
Android (Chrome)
- Open brightdesk.app in Chrome and sign in.
- Go to Settings → App Settings → Install App, or tap Chrome's ⋮ menu and choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install. Brightdesk now appears with your other apps.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open brightdesk.app in Safari (installing only works from Safari on iPhone).
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
- Choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
- Open Brightdesk from your home screen. On iPhone, notifications only work when you open it this way.
Computer (Chrome or Edge)
Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, then click Install. Brightdesk opens in its own window.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app work without internet? Pages you've already opened load even with a weak or no connection. Creating and saving things needs internet.
Will installing take up a lot of space? No. It uses a small fraction of the space a normal app needs.
