Part 3 · Tutorial 9 of 24

Add Multiple Events for One Client (Wedding, Reception, Mehendi & More)

Updated 18 October 2026

Indian weddings are rarely one event. One client might book you for Mehendi on Friday, Haldi on Saturday morning, the Wedding on Saturday night and the Reception on Sunday. In Brightdesk, all of these stay together under one booking. Each event is a session with its own date, time, city and services, and you get one combined total and one balance due.

In this tutorial

Option A: Add sessions while creating the booking

On the Full Booking screen, first add the services for the main event. Then go to Additional Sessions (Optional: e.g., Reception, Mehendi) and add each extra event with its own services.

The main booking needs at least one service before you can add sessions, and every session needs at least one service too.

Option B: Add sessions to an existing booking

Step 1: Open the Sessions tab

Open the booking and switch to the Sessions tab. If there aren't any yet, you'll see "Add related events like Reception, Mehendi, or Sangeet under one booking."

Step 2: Add a session

Tap Add Session and fill in:

  • Session Name: for example Mehendi Night
  • Type: Mehendi, Haldi, Sangeet, Reception and so on
  • Date and Time
  • City: if the venue is somewhere else
  • Notes: for example "Outdoor venue, carry extra lighting"

Step 3: Add services for the session

Under Services, tap Add Service and pick from your catalog, for example Mehendi (both hands) × 1 and Guest Mehendi × 10. You'll see the Session Total at the bottom. Save the session.

Step 4: Repeat for every event

Add Haldi, Sangeet, Reception or anything else in the same way. The Sessions tab shows every event with its total, plus an All Sessions Total.

What happens next

  • Calendar: every session date shows up on your dashboard calendar and in Upcoming Schedule, so you can't double-book a Haldi morning.
  • Payments: advances and payments are tracked against the whole booking. The client gets one balance, not four.
  • Invoice: when you create the invoice, the main event and all sessions are included.
  • Status: the booking moves to In Progress automatically on the date of its first event.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit or delete a session later? Yes. Open the session in the Sessions tab and choose Edit Session or delete it. Totals update straight away.

Should a destination wedding be one booking or several? One booking with a session for each event. It keeps the client, contract, payments and invoice in one place.
