Clients pay faster when they don't have to ask "what's your UPI?". In Brightdesk you save your payment details once and they're printed at the bottom of every invoice: your UPI ID, GPay or PhonePe number, bank account, or PayPal for international clients.
In this tutorial
Step 1: Open payment settings
Go to Settings → Billing & Services and stay on the Payment tab.
Step 2: Add UPI and digital payments
Under UPI & Digital Payments, fill in any of these:
- UPI ID: for example yourname@okhdfcbank
- GPay Number and PhonePe Number: your 10-digit number
Outside India you'll see the options that are common in your country instead, such as Venmo Username, Zelle Email/Phone or Cash App Username. PayPal Email is available everywhere for international clients.
Tip: Copy your UPI ID straight from your UPI app (GPay → Profile, or PhonePe → Profile) so there are no typos. A wrong UPI ID means the payment fails or goes to someone else.
Step 3: Add your bank account
Under Bank Account, enter:
- Bank Name
- Account Holder Name: exactly as it appears in your bank records
- Account Number
- IFSC Code in India (Routing Number in the US, SWIFT/BIC elsewhere)
- IBAN (optional, for international transfers)
Step 4: Add payment instructions (optional)
Payment Instructions is a free-text note printed at the bottom of your invoices. For example:
50% advance to confirm the date. Balance due on the event day. Please share a screenshot after paying.
Tap Save. You need at least one payment method saved.
Step 5: Check it on an invoice
Open any invoice and tap Preview Invoice. Your payment details appear in the payment section at the bottom.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add only UPI and skip the bank details? Yes. Any one payment method is enough. Many artists show only UPI for smaller amounts.
Can clients pay inside Brightdesk? Clients pay you directly through your own UPI, bank or PayPal, so the money goes straight to you. When the payment arrives, record it in Brightdesk and the balance updates.
